Welcome to Leave Only Footprints Photography. I am André Joanisse, nature photographer. I have been taking photos since the 1980's but it is only recently that I have become passionate about nature photography.

I grew up in a small town in Ontario, Canada. I eventually made my way to Australia, which I now call home. Nature has always been a big part of my life as it was just out our back door when growing up. Australia provides some amazing landscapes and unique fauna and flora to photograph.

There are plenty of great photographers out there. A few that I admire are Galen Rowell, Ansel Adams, Bruce Dale, Frans Lanting, Trent Parke, just to name a few.
